We’re from different worlds. European jetsetter and rooted New Yorker. Opposites by nature, yet we’re still the best plot twist.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
On a Bumble date without much hope. We weren’t each other’s type. I had a list: multilingual, well-traveled, fine dining. Neil didn’t check a single box. Born in New York with a Brooklyn accent and a diet of wings and pizza, he was everything I wasn’t looking for. We thought it’d be one drink, but it turned into five years… and counting. I speak four languages, he still speaks pizza, and somehow, we’re the perfect combo.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Neil lied to me about his food habits, so I kept taking him to all kinds of restaurants. He managed to fake it until we ended up at a Middle Eastern spot, and their kebab broke him. I thought he loved it, so I kept planning more. Months later, he confessed the kebab trauma. Now we can’t tell the story without laughing. By the way, years later, he had kebab in Turkey… and survived.
What would you do with $20,000?We’re still debating. Neil wants to upgrade my engagement ring. I want to take him to Japan for his 60th birthday. Maybe we should let you vote on it too. What do you think?
