After I got divorced, Nathan and I met by chance. It had been about a week since he was stationed in Charleston,SC & we clicked instantly. Our first date he came with a beautiful bouquet for me and a toy for my son with no expectation of meeting him. He said “I’m dating both of you and I need to impress both of you.” After that date, I couldn’t see or think of anyone else. It’s that moment that I had found my other half & Ive never doubted a moment.

Nathan loves to surf. He has been since he was 7. His truck was in the shop and the waves were really good. Charleston doesn’t get good waves very often & he was bummed he couldn’t go. I told him to load his board in my car and we could go. His face lit up and he was happier than I’ve ever seen him. Being able to do something so small and making him so happy with it was all worth it.

We have been trying to beef up my son’s (Nathan calls him ‘our son’ which makes me cry every time) savings account. We want to give him the option of whatever higher education he wants. Trade school or a university. We want him to graduate with little to no debt to give him a head start in life. We would give all of it to him, with no hesitation. Besides showing our son what unconditional love and support looks like between spouses, that’s what we have always wanted.
