We met on my door step. When I was complete as a woman, not looking, and enjoying my independence. Yet he made freer than I ever was alone.
We would like to thank you for supporting Natasha & Omer in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met on my doorstep. I was taking out the trash and he was taking a break from his Work as a chef in the restaurant below my apartment in Philadelphia. I almost tripped over him as he was sitting on my stoop, and he offered to take the trash out for me. We went on a bike ride one of my favorite things. The moment that I knew that I was in love was, when he stood at that same doorstep, it was a clear, beautiful blue sky, and his eyes reflected that big blue sky back at me.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? One of the most amazing memories was when he took me to visit his family after our engagement in Israel. It was where the Bible stories of my childhood came to life, and where my own faith came alive again. It was meeting his aunt who shared with me the impossible sacrifice of their family and the many that were lost in the holocaust that solidified my conversion to Judaism. It has bonded me to him and my children, and has given us the connection to each other and our people during these times.
What would you do with $20,000?To be honest we would put it away for our children's education.
