One stranger’s Easter Island Head pun became an adventure from the depths of the sea to the hills of Japan. All starting in Indiana.
We would like to thank you for supporting Natasha and Garrett in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
It was the dead of winter, and Natasha thought she’d be ambitious and join the dating app, Hinge. Garrett had been exploring the Indiana scene for a while, but he stole her heart in just three days. It all started when he called her an Easter Island Head. He made her smile from the first message. She screenshotted it and sent it to her family saying he was a good one. He rescheduled the first date to meet her sooner, and a few tacos and hockey game later, the adventure really began.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? On our second anniversary, we were in Kyoto, Japan, and Garrett planned a surprise evening for us to share in Gion at sunset. We strolled down the street with green tongues from matcha ice cream and took photos during golden hour surrounded by the views of the entire city. It was really a moment for us to reflect on how far we’d come, literally and figuratively, and we left Japan feeling even stronger.
What would you do with $20,000?$20,000 would take us on our dream honeymoon to Nice, France. We want to stay along the Promenade to wade through the Mediterranean while also enjoying the incredible views and experience new food. We’d also love to explore the mountains and villages around the city to get the entire French Riviera experience. Any leftover money would go towards our future house!
