March 12, 2018, I was sitting at my favorite watering hole waiting for the local Blues Jam to start and in walked Joey, he is a musician and came to check it out too. I asked the owner's mother sitting next to me who he was, she told me "he's a musician and his name is Joey." I glanced around the room looking for him again and didn't see him. A few minutes later he was standing behind me and Ms, Carol, the owner's mother, introduced us, our future was set in motion. I know it's crazy!

Exactly 4 years later, March 12, 2022, we got married, surrounded by our family and closest friends. It was the wedding we had both dreamed of but never had. During the reception Joey called me to the stage and offered me a seat as he walked around to sit at the piano, he performed and sang "LOVE" by John Lennon, we don't think there was a dry eye in the house! There are so many memories in the short 7 years we have been together and can't wait to make more.

We'd use it to keep building a life full of memories and meaning. A portion would go toward preparing for retirement, giving us peace of mind as we plan the next chapter of our journey side by side. We'd take some of those trips we've dreamed about - seeing new places and meeting amazing people. During the pandemic we started a Facebook page featuring local businesses, a way to stay connected and support our community, we'd continue that project on the road, sharing gems we find!!
