We are genuinely happy. Even after 5 years of marriage (after each of us losing our spouses) it amazes us that we found one another.

Herb and I met in late 2019 in Athol MA. I was hosting a fundraiser for a nonprofit and Herb came to help. We reconnected in early 2020, sharing lunch on March 2nd, just before lockdown. Our love blossomed swiftly, sweet and seamless. Within 13 days Herb announced he wanted to marry me. Though I hadn’t planned to remarry, I wanted to be his wife. My reply: “official ask, official yes”. The next day lockdown hit and our relationship thrived via FaceTime and texts. We married that September.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? The honeymoon! I was planning to drive historic Route 66 when I was 66. Suddenly, it was a honeymoon. Armed with maps and books about The Mother Road we rented a motor home and started our journey in Chicago and ended at Santa Monica Pier16 days later, still talking to each other. Herb and I have wanderlust. We love our road trips. Long trips or day trips. In these 5 years we’ve driven cross country twice, cruised to Alaska, journeyed to Israel, Austria and Italy, making memories along the way.
What would you do with $20,000?If we are being practical we’d do improvements on our home. If we are being honest we would enjoy having our own motor home. Of course, if we were good parents- a lake house vacation with our children and grandchildren would be wonderful.
