Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in college! I was performing at a poetry show and saw him in the crowd. We locked eyes and he was so invested in my words it gave me confidence. Later that night, we greeted each other and shared a hug that felt special somehow. Weeks later, we officially met through our mutual friend Destiny. He told me he actually had a crush on me for two years! We hung out the very next day, and from then on, we were inseparable. A friendship turned soulmate kind of love.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

The night he proposed! Although I was convinced it wouldn’t be, it was on Christmas eve! That night after dinner at his aunt’s, I walked into our apartment glowing with candlelight, rose petals everywhere, and “Will You Marry Me” spelled out in balloons. Our favorite song played softly in the background as he got on one knee and said, “Loving you has been my greatest adventure… I want to love you forever.” I was a crying mess, but through the tears I said yes!

What would you do with $20,000?

Winning $20,000 would be a dream come true. We would use it to help fund our wedding! Weddings are beautiful but expensive, and we’re doing everything we can to make it special without putting ourselves under too much financial strain. This gift would allow us to create a day filled with love, joy, music, and memories shared with the people who matter most to us. It would help us start our marriage not only surrounded by love, but also with a little more peace of mind.
