We met on Match.com in August 2011. He was my first date from the site—and I was his second.(His first date was with a dolphin trainer!) Our very first phone call lasted over two hours. I remember feeling immediately at ease with him and struck by how genuine and authentic he was. It just felt… effortless. On our first date, we completely lost track of time—we actually shut down the restaurant! They were vacuuming around our feet as we kept talking. I remember feeling so happy :)

Our favorite memory is getting lost on the Path of the Gods during our honeymoon in Positano, Italy. Stranded on a cliffside, we even made a video in case we weren’t found—but we stayed calm, laughed, and leaned on each other. I remember feeling completely at peace, knowing that as long as we were together, we’d be okay. We eventually made it out, but it’s still one of our most unforgettable adventures. And yes, we do plan on going back! Second times a charm!

With two little ones, most of our money immediately funnels into diapers, mandarins, and tiny shoes. But this August is our 10-year anniversary, and I’ve always told Bryan we have to go back to Italy. With $20.0, we’d pack up the kids (and a ton of snacks & a prayer) and head back to our happy place—this time with our favorite tiny travel buddies in tow!
