It was in 2015, I was 16 and he was 17. When Mike was 19 he got diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia after 3.5 years of treatment he was cured or so we thought. We finally got engaged with plans on getting married, when his cancer relapsed and he had to go through a Bone Marrow Transplant. Which we ended up in the hospital for 100 days straight. We have to go through IVF and can’t get married because of health reasons. No matter what life throws at us our love will always grow stronger!

The strength this man has had to endure throughout our life. But if I had to get specific It would be seeing the northern lights from our backyard. The way the lights lit up his face made me cry. We also rode ATVs through Sedona that was magical. RMNP last year, although he had a hip replacement and another one right when we got back. He hiked those trails with me. He truly inspires me!! Building a chicken coop from scratch, tending to our garden. I will cherish these memories for a lifetime.

We would finally be able to start fertility treatments through IVF. After his cancer relapse we were sitting in a parking lot and I looked at him and said no matter what happens I still want to have a child with him. We cried a lot that day and the next week Mike went to save what we could considering he already went through treatments.When they first told us we would not be able to conceive naturally after the Bone Marrow Transplant.
