Our love story began in college at Missouri Western in St. Joseph, MO. At the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve 2000, we shared our first kiss. A year later, we drove to Mexico to learn Spanish. Three years in, Jason proposed to Monica while parasailing on spring break after chartering a bus to South Padre with our friends.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?A family trip to London and Paris with our two kids stands out as our favorite. The culminating moment was standing beneath the Eiffel Tower, witnessing two proposals. It instantly took us back to our own—parasailing all those years ago—and reminded us how far our love has come.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d invest in creating lasting memories—celebrating our 25th anniversary with a family adventure, exploring cultures, and giving back. We’d also support local nonprofits close to our hearts, especially those focused on trails, youth, and nature. Love should grow outward.
