Molly and I met and married young—just 21 and 17. Neither of us had the benefit of supportive families, so we had to learn how to build a life together from scratch. That was back in 2012, and despite all the challenges, we’re still standing strong. She’s my best friend, and I love how at ease and downright silly we can be together.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I’ll never forget my sister’s wedding in 2013. During a dance, the DJ called out milestone anniversaries—“If you’ve been married 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 years, stay on the floor.” Molly and I had barely been married a year, but we stayed out there until he called 50 years. We danced the night away.
What would you do with $20,000?Honestly, we’d probably finally buy a house. For the past 13 years, we’ve rented and moved from place to place. We’ve been pretty fortunate to live in mostly decent homes, but having a place that’s truly ours would mean everything. The security, the stability, and the feeling of finally putting down roots—it would be such a huge step for us and something we’ve dreamed about for a long time.
