We’re total opposites, but we share the same goals. Our differences bring balance and that’s what makes us strong.
We would like to thank you for supporting Moe and Benjamin in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We first met on a dive trip, I got seasick and ruined his dive. Months later, we randomly locked eyes on a NYC subway platform, both thinking, “Do I know you?” We walked together from the train to the airport trying to figure it out. On the flight, I gave him my aisle seat (he’s tall and had a middle), he left his wallet, and I returned it, with my number. We’ve been together ever since. Turns out, sea legs lead to soulmates.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our wedding. We eloped to Vietnam and shared our vows at an ecolodge in Sapa, surrounded by fog, rice terraces, and mountain peaks. It was just the two of us at the top of the world, quiet, surreal, and full of love. No guest list, no distractions, just a promise in the clouds. It felt like time stopped. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect way to start forever.
What would you do with $20,000?My husband was a search and rescue swimmer for the Coast Guard, and we used a VA loan to buy our first home. We were so excited, until we found termites, a failing roof, no insulation, a broken AC, and a third of the house left uninhabitable. Nothing was caught during the inspection. We’re $50K deep just trying to make it safe and livable. This money would help us get back on track and finally breathe in our own space.
