Connect How did your love story begin?

I was his trainer at Steak n Shake back in 2004, but we would start dating until a year later. I was lamenting over my ex to him, and he told me to "smile" and someone would come. I smiled at the dining room, and said, "see? No one is coming." Later in the shift I gave him a big smile and he eventually asked me for my number. He WAITED A WHOLE WEEK to text me back, despite working together on a few shifts. He finally texted me on March 1st 2005. We were in school but it was a snow day, we kissed

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

With 20 years together it's hard to pick just one memory. I would maybe say going to our first camping music festival at Imagine 2018 in Atlanta. It was a life changing event. We would probably never would have gotten into djing if it wasn't for that. Now we make music together and dj together. Dancing is so healing to us, we're n not religious, but the dance floor is our sacred church. It brings us closer together, and our love creates community.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would keep half to continue to expand our music studio, instruments, and dj equipment. We would use the other half to donate right back to the music scene here in Nashville with non profits like H.O.M.E. (Helping Our Music Evolve) and also the Nashville Industry Fund (helps Nashville musicians with down payments for their 1st home. Their mission is to keep the music in music city). Would also love to make a donation to To Write Love On Her Arms, as I have lost a sister to suicide.
