We fell in love when it was forbidden as teenagers and were torn apart by family and society but found our way back together after 38 years
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
The first day of 11th grade in 1986. I saw her standing under the live oak tree at Titusville High School (a few months after the space shuttle Columbia blew up) waiting for foreign language club photos. Something unexplainable drew us to each other and when our eyes met my heart melted. We were quickly best friends and inseparable. Little did we know there was a name for our type of love and it wasn’t a nice name in 1986, in fact we were forbidden from seeing each other.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We made many memories in private and in secret and created our own language code to write each other letters, we both concur our favorite memory was feeling safe together and alone on the Indian River away from all people, watching the dolphins swim and play while in each others arms.
What would you do with $20,000?Run away and get married like we planned as young lovers. This time around nobody can separate us.
