In July 2021, I (Whitney) moved into the apartment above the neighborhood record store—Easy Street Records—just as Mike was hired to manage the bar downstairs. One night, I ditched Thursday Night Football for the West Seattle Art Walk and walked into Easy Street with friends. That’s when we met. Our first date came two weeks later, and our record store romance turned into a movie theater wedding in October 2024.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory is our wedding weekend—which started with a bowling tournament, then a cocktail hour at the record store where we met, and ultimately getting married in our local movie theater! A surprise marching band played us out for our grand exit, and we ended the night with a private ice cream social at our favorite date spot. Celebrating in West Seattle with loved ones and local small businesses made it unforgettable.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, we’d finally take our honeymoon—an epic adventure to Antarctica. Whitney’s traveled to 50+ countries, but this bucket list trip would be our first to the 7th continent—sharing our favorite thing: unforgettable travel together.
