How did your love story begin?

It started when he called me out for cracking a Harry Potter joke. After our first date we were inseparable. Unfortunately, I was only visiting Florida and scheduled to return home soon. I was working remotely, so any excuse I had to fly back to Florida, I did. We spent the next year visiting each other’s hometowns, met each other’s friends and family. Then we couldn’t take the distance anymore. I left my job, sold my car, and moved to Florida. We are now about to celebrate our 1st anniversary.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is when his cousin rigged her maypole bouquet toss. We got engaged right before her wedding, and we made it clear we did not want our big news to overshadow her special day. As a gesture for being so considerate about our news not taking over, she conspired with her bridesmaids so that I would end up with the bouquet. As soon as the last bridesmaid’s ribbon broke it was obvious the whole thing had been set up. Michael and I were the only two who didn’t know the plan.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000 we would put a downpayment on a house! We have been working so hard and saving as much as we can so that we can purchase our first home. We are currently in a 600 sq ft condo, and we are bursting at the seams. We are planning on having children and would love to adopt a dog. A small condo with no yard just won’t accommodate all the plans we have. Winning this money would help all of our dreams come true!
