It started from a newspaper ad in 1997 on a dare and 28 years later stronger than ever with a great family, joy and everlasting love.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
I was a single mom with 2 kids who had given up on finding the right one. It was after a year or 2 of not dating that I decided to take a chance on love and put an ad in the paper not knowing the right one is the first one that called. We had our first date and went to the movies, then on the next date went to see Ice Capades with my daughter and from that point on things blossomed. We had many dates thereafter and whether it was alone or activities with the kids we grew closer and found love.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our favorite memory would probably be when he found out he was going to be a father. It was 9 months later and as I told him I was in labor he asked if he had time to shower and shave. I said yes and continued my breathing. We raced to the hospital and rushed upstairs and he peeked from a corner in the room nervous but holding my hand and 2 hours later our son was born. We found out he has a seizure disorder years later and he still stayed with me and we married.
What would you do with $20,000?We would take a trip to the Midwest to visit our parents grave and put flowers on them and take a trip to the beach with all of us and a giant photoshoot which I've wanted us to all have.
