Met in Spring 1982. It wasn’t love at first sight! I actually met & dated his friend first. After we broke up, Eddie asked me out. We went on lots of dates, talking/getting to know each other. As the months progressed, we fell in love. What’s funny is we met at a dance club & Eddie still doesn’t like dancing. We’ve tried over the years ie: lessons for wedding/online lessons for our anniversary, but I don’t think we’ll be qualifying for dancing with the stars. lol

How to pick 1 memory from 45 years together is difficult because there have been so many. One would be when I rang the bell at the hospital, completing my chemotherapy/radiation and going into remission with my cancer. I think we both grew as a couple during that period (2012), because we had never experienced a life-threatening struggle before. Our bond was never stronger. Our faith never wavered. Our love never-ending. My heart was never as full as it was then because of what we went through.

I’ll give you a few ideas. 1. When we moved into our house in 1996, it came with a big pool. This summer it sprang a big leak because of a rusted spot, and we are having to repair it. The cost is $21,000. 2. Each of our children would be gifted $5000. One of our daughters is going through IVF right now, which is expensive. 3. Grandchildren $2500 each. 4. I’ve always had a dream to stay in one of those over the water bungalows down in the Caribbean.
