My husband and I have been together since Sophomore year of High School. We got married 9 years ago and had our first baby 6 months ago!
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We had crossed paths Freshman year during PE, but Sophmore year we had the same Geometry class. The teacher rearranged seating and sat us next to each other. He understood the subject way better than I did so I started asking him questions. We became friends and then he asked me to go watch Friday the 13th movie on a February Friday. I was terrified the whole time so he made his move by holding my hand and putting his arm around me. At the end of the night, he asked me to be his girlfriend.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Buying our first home. We barely had enough money for the down payment, the washer, dryer and fridge, so we moved in with our stuff from our 500sqft one bed apt to a 1,500sqft home. We didn’t have much but we were so proud to have been able to get there. Little by little we bought furniture and filled the house, but the first few months of it just being us, eating dinner on lawn chairs while talking about what we wanted the house to look like, were some of the most blissful times.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use it to renovate areas of our current house that we have been wanting to upgrade! New floors, fresh paint and of course a fabulous room for our little baby boy! And if there’s any left over, in the bank for our kid’s future.
