We bring out the best in each-other; when you reach middle age, after a lot of relationships, that feels like a miracle.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We’d moved around the same Miami neighborhoods and lived within a mile of each-other for 20 years, but didn’t meet until we joined the same writers group. Twice divorced (me) and fresh out of physical therapy from falling off a mountain (her), we were taking time to enjoy single life. In fact, we high-fived over never dating again. Once the meeting ended, we talked for 5 hours. The chemistry could not be denied. We immediately became “us.”
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We took a trip all around Colorado for our anniversary. At an open mic at a bar in Denver, in front of a room full of strangers, I read a love poem I’d written for her. She had no idea I was going to do that. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
What would you do with $20,000?We never thought we’d be able to afford a house of our own, but we were able to pool our resources and make it happen. The place needs a lot of work. $20k would be an enormous help!
