How did your love story begin?

We first crossed paths at one of our university’s dance shows where we both performed. I noticed him first and felt something for him, and a week later we matched on Hinge. Our first date lasted hours and we quickly grew closer over winter break, even sharing our first New Year’s kiss. On Valentine’s Day, he asked me to be his girlfriend and it became apparent that we were meant for each other. Over a year later, we’re still growing and learning about each other, falling more in love every day.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is when we first said “I love you.” We’d both been careful to take our time getting to this significant stage in our relationship to make sure we really meant it. After being apart for a month due to my vacation out of the country, we both were completely sure that we loved each other. I became very emotional upon seeing him again and he knew exactly why. We counted down from three and said “I love you” at the same time. It was one of our most emotional and authentic moments.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’d use $20K to save for our future together after college. It would support both my marketing goals and my dream of becoming an actress, as well as Michael’s construction management aspirations. This would significantly ease the financial stress of moving to another city or state together and help us with our first apartment. We’d also set aside some to spend more quality time together—dates and a potential vacation—all to build the life we want together while we move to our next chapter.
