How did your love story begin?

Ahh, it all began at a vision quest… our friend hosted Sunday night vision quests where we all meditated then shared our visions and dreams. Here we became friends. Years later, we met again at a different friend’s birthday party. We hit it off talking about traveling. I remember feeling this tunnel vision, roped into his eyes and pulled into his soul while everything around us faded. I sent him a message that night offering to be his wedding date and show him Charleston. And so it began.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We both have the same favorite memory. We took a trip to the Olympic peninsula in Washington. One day, Mike wanted to plan the whole day so we went to 3 different waterfalls traveling to multiple spots within the Olympic National Forest then ended it at the western tip of the United States on Cape Flattery. It was this moment. After a long, tiring day, we forged forward on our adventure to make it to the “edge of the earth” laughing along the way and completing our mission. This symbolizes us.

What would you do with $20,000?

We bought a house last year before our daughter was born to raise her in a stable home with a backyard. Our house was built in 1967 with original everything, so we have been slowly updating our home. I have been working significantly less to stay home with our daughter, so we are living off of half of our income. With $20,000 we would love to redo our kitchen and the main bathroom. Lastly, go on a family vacation to take our daughter on one of our outdoor adventures!
