How did your love story begin?

We started dating when I was a missionary in Belize. I came back on a break at Christmas and we made a connection at an event at our church that I spoke at. I knew it would be a forever connection. I went back to finish out the year teaching and when I got back in June, we got engaged very quickly. The moment we met, we knew that we were meant to be together forever!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There are so many! We have been through so many obstacles together and we are so strong together!! We rescued a baby out of an abusive situation and then adopted her! We went through a cancer journey together! We relocated across the country, away from friends and family and bought our first home! Whatever life throws at us, we fight together! Our favorite quote that we say to each other often is “YOU AND ME FOREVER!” And that is just it… We are STRONGER TOGETHER and we will NEVER GIVE UP.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use some of that to pay off existing hospital bills. Cancer is expensive. I currently have lingering disorders and a disease that I am being treated for that comes with a cost. But we would use the majority of that to renew our vows on our 25th wedding anniversary, October 20, 2026. We would have family and close friends come out and celebrate this huge accomplishment and beautiful day with us. “YOU AND ME FOREVER!”
