Connect How did your love story begin?

We were best friends through elementary and middle school, but grew apart before high school. The summer before our senior year, we reconnected through a shared friend group and quickly clicked again. I loved Johnny's intellect and sweet soul, and he loved my "spontaneity and love for every animal and insect" (his words). We hung out every day for the rest of summer and Johnny confessed his feelings for me in a parking lot. That same night, we had our first kiss and the rest is history!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

As a couple, my favorite memory would probably be our first weeks in New York. Johnny's eagerness to explore with me made me feel so loved, secure, and appreciative. I love going on adventures with him and finding special moments for us in everything. Johnny's favorite memory is when we saved and took care of a gecko together during wintertime. He loved being kind and "taking care of someone in need" with me. He says he liked seeing how deeply I care for even the smallest creatures.

What would you do with $20,000?

Johnny and I would split the money evenly and both use it for the same things: college and therapy! College is self-explanatory, especially because we go to one in New York City and I come from a single-parent household. Therapy gets expensive but we both have mental disorders that interfere greatly with our lives, so it's a necessity. We'd use the money for specifically individual therapy; ERP and CBT for me and DBT for him!
