We have been together for 6 years now, but friends for 8 years before that. We play in rock bands together and go on tour together too!
We would like to thank you for supporting Mel and Ry in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met playing a show together and always had a lot of love and respect for each other, but we always were dating other people and respected that. But in 2019, Ry rode his motorcycle from California to NJ where I was living and decided to take a shot while he was visiting his family. We kissed and the day was full of magic afterwards. We ran into a cello player playing romantic music, saw many shooting stars and everything felt so right.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? In early 2020 we celebrated Ry's birthday while we were in LA. It was one of our greatest days ever. We did everything fun we could think of from going to the beach, going to the movies, swinging on giant swings, getting root beer floats and playing at the arcade. We had so much fun and were giggling like little kids all day. We still talk about that birthday 5 years later!
What would you do with $20,000?We would use $20,000 to put towards a down payment on a house. We have both been pretty nomadic for most of our adult lives, having both moved many times both apart and together. We are ready to settle down and have some stability and would use the money to finally start a solid life together.
