We met line dancing at Saddle Up Saloon in Illinois. He’d tried talking to me before, but I didn’t hear him. A bar photo from the week before made it look like he was creeping on me during a dance—when really, he was dodging me! I saw him the next week and told my friend, “He’s HOT—I’m going to talk to him.” I joked about the photo, and he was so apologetic until I said I was kidding. We had our first date on Valentine’s Day and have been inseparable since. 💃❤️

Getting our fur baby Rocky was one of our favorite! I stopped by a pet store randomly for work and fell in love with a brindle boxer. I couldn’t stop talking about him. For my birthday, even though we were only a few months in, Stefan left work early and surprised me with him. My dad joked he basically bought me a child—and the next step was a ring. Rocky was our spoiled baby and made us a little family. He had a tough chemo journey, but we have a million memories from that surprise moment!

After losing my dad and our dog Rocky to cancer, we started a Year of Yes—choosing moments over routines. For our 10-year anniversary, we’re dreaming of renewing our vows at the Little White Chapel in Vegas and honeymooning in Fiji, inspired by our favorite movie Couples Retreat. We’d use the $20,000 to turn those dreams into reality and keep saying yes to love, life, and each other.
