We acted opposite each other in “Enchanted April,” a play that metaphorically uses wisteria to explore rebirth, forgiveness, and joy. Afterwards we studied abroad in Italy! With a foundation of creativity, joy, and a shared faith, we started dating a few months later. Two states, three degrees, and five years later, Stephen proposed. Our garden wedding was “Enchanted April” themed, and we were married under an arbor of wisteria!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Honestly, my favorite memories are in the mundane, the everyday, and the ordinary. I’ll never forget him saving the last olive for me on the shared salad. Or the first time he made me coffee after a tired morning. How he looked at me when our first child was born. How we make knowing eye contact through the chaos of raising little kids. These little moments of real life mean so much more to me than a fancy trip or dinner. That’s where the real adventure lies.
What would you do with $20,000?Our home is a hub for our family, and we would use the money to make it more functional for our community! Our hope has always been to serve and love the people around us through our home. We would love more functional space to host our people.
