We were friends first, which means we feel comfortable being our entire weird selves, for the first time for me in any relationship.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We met each other in 2022 at a leadership retreat for the company we work for. We were in bad relationships at the time (not realizing they were toxic), but became great friends through working together. Eventually we got out of those relationships (took 3 years) and this past Valentine’s Day we went on our first date, stayed out until 4am talking and enjoying each other’s company. It’s been a whirlwind of happiness and love ever since. He’s not perfect, no one is, but he’s perfect for me.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We stayed at an air bnb for the leadership retreat with all of management for an entire weekend. The first night we did karaoke, and we sang 2 duets together, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift. He had his own room that had 2 sets of bunk beds. A handful of us built forts with the bunk beds, and when they got bored and left we finished building the pillow fort and added twinkle lights to the top. We laid on the floor and looked up at the lights, and talked about our favorite childhood memories.
What would you do with $20,000?With my previous relationship, I thought that I didn’t want to be married or have kids. I realized that I just didn’t want that with him. With Max, though, I actually want to be a wife, his wife, and a mother. I don’t have the fear of my kids having a bad father, with the thought of Max being their father. I’m excited to start a family with him, and build a life and future. The $20,000 would be to have a baby, and to start a family with him.
