How did your love story begin?

We met at a job interview I was on. While I waited, he kept walking past me in the hallway—just to say hi. I later learned he pretended to need something from the office as an excuse to talk to me. After my interview, he went straight to our boss to ask if I was being hired. We both worked at the same school, became friends, and eventually fell in love.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

When we were still getting to know each other at work I had to grab a screwdriver from his room. He asked if I needed help and I responded “if I’m not back in 5 minutes just wait longer” (from Ace Ventura). I found out later that was his favorite movie. That same day I said something about traffic cones and he said “they were cones!” Which is a line from my favorite movie (The Wedding Singer). We both didn’t know it was our favorite at the time but looking back it feels like we were connected.

What would you do with $20,000?

As much as it would be great to put all it towards the home we would like to purchase. We would probably want to share the money with our parents too. They are working so hard and would love to give them a break as well. Family is super important to us.
