We met and dated for a week in high school then didn’t see each other for 10 years. We met again in sobriety and have been together since.

In high school, we only dated for a week (he dumped me lol). After that time our journeys lead us to opposite sides of the county and we both struggled with addiction issues. Eventually I was lead back to New Jersey and ran into him one day outside of a support group. I was hesitant to rekindle our romance, but he proved to me the person he was today was an entirely different version. I believe in the invisible string theory that your person will be tethered to you always and always come back.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?He massively supported me through nursing school. He would come over and clean and do laundry and cook dinner. I worked two jobs throughout school but he always went out of his way to take care of me. I couldn’t have made it through without him, and graduated this May. Him being there to support me was our most special moment. He supports me in all my goals and pushes me to be the best I can be.
What would you do with $20,000?We are in the process of planning a wedding, he proposed in December. We also want to have kids soon, and are saving up for a house. We may not be able to have a wedding because of our goal of a house but to celebrate our love with family would be amazing. Honestly either one of us could have passed away or had a much worse life, so I’d like to celebrate what we built together.
