They met in 2009 through a mutual friend and bonded fast over their love of making weird, wonderful stuff. Matt, a video nerd, and Cara, a performer on the hunt for her creative soulmate, teamed up for a school project—a rap music video about Charles Darwin (yes, really). One funky beat later, the sparks flew, and they’ve been co-creating art, laughs, and love ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of our favorite memories is our spontaneous anniversary trip to San Antonio. We wandered the River Walk, tipsy and giggly but somehow graceful, rode every rollercoaster at Six Flags, and shared the wildest laughs of our lives. As we came down, we found ourselves on a Ferris wheel, floating above the city in our own little love bubble. That trip sealed something magical— we don’t have to overthink our plans in life. Sometimes we just need some spontaneous fun, and we’ll hold it tight forever.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, we’d finally take a much-needed vacation—our first in over three years. After recharging, we’d use the funds wisely: setting aside savings for stability, paying down lingering debt, and investing in essential home repairs we’ve had to put off. This would give us the breathing room to dream bigger, live better, and build a stronger foundation for our future together.
