How did your love story begin?

Our story unfolded when Phil did what many shelter in place individuals do during the pandemic - think about that one person they remembered from long ago. Through the power of name guessing via Facebook, he succeeded in reaching out to a specific Marylynn living in the Bay Area. A few reminiscent DMs led to the classic number exchange later and they soon became Covid daters.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

This would have to be as a result of the tragic day when Marylynn moved away in 2005. She told Phil that it was her last day at church and will probably never see him again. There was not even an email let alone a phone number to leave behind. While that moment is a distance memory for both, they’re now overjoyed with emotion knowing that they went from being a mere thought of one another to spending the rest of their lives together.

What would you do with $20,000?

$20,000 would really help with wedding planning and finding unique ways to incorporate Phil’s late grandparents and honor them throughout our special day. Unfortunately before they passed in recent years, each had expressed to us how excited they would have been to attend their first grandchild’s wedding. Marylynn’s engagement ring is a family heirloom that Phil inherited from Grandma. Phil has been extremely supportive in being there for Marylynn who is currently caring for her elderly parents.
