Connect How did your love story begin?

We met working in a museum, but Jenna left shortly after Mary started, and it wasn’t until nearly a year later we reconnected - right at the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic & quarantine. We spent three months writing letters to one another from our respective apartments in separate boroughs of NYC, and decided to start dating before we had ever even kissed. When the restrictions were lifted and conditions were safer we wasted no time in seeing one another, already feeling so close.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We got married abroad in a small ceremony and then spent our honeymoon in Paris. On the day we ventured to Versailles it poured rain, but we didn’t let that stop us. We plodded around the nearly-empty grounds in our boots & rain jackets and made our way to the queen’s hamlet - a small cottage deep in the woods of the estate that we had all to ourselves, given the weather. It was serene and silly and we were soaked, but so happy in that moment, looking out at the landscape together.

What would you do with $20,000?

We want to start a family in the next year or so and this money would be revolutionary in assisting that process. For queer couples there are different avenues to be taken in having a child and nearly all require large financial undertakings both before and after a baby is born. We would sincerely be grateful for gaining a little help to start the process sooner rather than later.
