What makes us a great couple is that we support each other selflessly. We help the other to flourish.
We would like to thank you for supporting Mary and Luke in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Our love story began over 20 years ago. We first met at a church during our mothers’ choir anniversary. The church was packed, and the only seat left was the one right next to me—like it was meant to be. For years, we’d see each other around town, just saying hi, smiling or waving. Then in 2023, everything changed. Luke gave me his number, and we began talking on the phone. From our very first conversation, I felt something special. I was completely drawn to him.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We’ve created so many beautiful memories together—it’s hard to choose just one. From ice cream dates in the park to moments shared in different places, each one is special. But the moment that means the most to me is when we slow dance, no matter where we are. He’s the only man I’ve ever slow danced with, and every time feels like magic.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use it toward our wedding. Both of us were previously married at the Justice of the Peace, but this time feels different—our love story truly feels like a fairy tale. We’re not looking for anything too fancy, just something simple and meaningful that reflects the deep love we share. Any remaining funds would be set aside to help us find a place to call home together.
