We have been together for five years and have battled back surgery and cancer together. We are best friends and stand by each other sides!
We would like to thank you for supporting Marty and Char in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met 30 years ago and our paths went different ways. Five years ago we found each other again and have been inseparable since then! Marty supported me through a pretty serious back surgery and last Christmas we found out he had high grade, aggressive bladder cancer. He’s been through two surgeries and we continue the battle by each others side. We are best friends and love every second we have together. We are going to fight for us to no end!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Every moment is a blessing! Especially since the cancer we cherish every moment we get together. We love to spend all our free time together whether it’s sitting on the couch or going on a mini vacation. Unfortunately some of our time together is fighting cancer and being strong for each other but we gladly do it and won’t leave each others side.
What would you do with $20,000?Pay bills! Marty wants to pay as many bills as possible so if the unfortunate happens and cancer wins he won’t leave me with a burden. Marty is a hard working man. He is a Mobile Mechanic and works on hydraulics (bucket trucks and diggers) for Altec. Char works for a local school district with Special Education. We are just two blue collar, regular, down to earth people.
