Our love and respect for each other, and our families, along with our senses of humor, and shared faith make us a great couple.
We would like to thank you for supporting Mark and Sara in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
In 1978, we were both sent to Northfield Nursery School. We became friends, &remained friends through our schooling together until the summer of 1986, when Sara Rose was forced to move out of state. When Sara Rose would come to visit friends, we would run into each other, and were friendly. In 2012, it was our 20th class reunion, and Mark attended as a graduate, Sara Rose was there as a plus 1 for her childhood best friend. We spent most of the night talking to each other. The rest is history!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our favorite memory is when we got married on 5/4/24, and Mark's adult children (21&23) presented Sara Rose with adoption papers. 9 months later, we were legally one happy family!
What would you do with $20,000?We would invest the $20,000 into our nonprofit Traumatic Brain Injury Retreat Center, TBI Ranch, so that we could continue to work with those affected by TBI, and their caregivers! This was inspired by Mark's TBI sustained in 2016 while working in a level IV Special Ed facility. Sara Rose has been his caregiver, and now founder/director of the ranch.
