Connect How did your love story begin?

We met at my sister’s party—though Leo didn’t know she was my sister. He flirted, I was clueless. Later, she sent me his number and I texted him, half apologizing, half laughing. We were so busy we texted for a year before our first date. It started as a quick breakfast—he showed up in pajamas. I figured he wasn’t into me. But we spent the whole day wandering Boston, talking nonstop. We’ve been inseparable ever since. I still tease him about those pajamas.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Leo’s not much of a planner, so I was shocked when he scored a rooftop spot for us and a few close friends to watch Boston’s 4th of July fireworks. He knows they bring out my purest joy. As the sky lit up, he turned to me and said, “The fireworks may not last forever, but I know we will,” then dropped to one knee. I said yes through happy tears, as our friends captured the moment with fireworks bursting behind us. It was pure magic—our favorite memory.

We’re newly married, hardworking, and dreaming of a home where we can build lasting memories—with each other, our family, and our chosen found family.
