Basically a forbidden love trope. We were both missionaries for the church we each grew up in and were sent to the same area to proselytize. Basically the least sexy we have both ever been. Eventually the mission ended and we reconnected in the real world at the opening weekend for How To Train Your Dragon 3 where I (Mariah) forced him to hold my hand for the first time. He got the hint and within a couple of months we were exclusive.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I think our favorite memory is about to happen when we celebrate 5 years of marriage this summer on a Mediterranean cruise! But up to this point, it would have to be a culmination of all of the countless moments of hysterical laughter and shenanigans that have come with being best friends and each other’s favorite person. We haven’t lived a flashy glamorous life together, but the glamour has come from loving every version of the other person. Cheesy but true!
What would you do with $20,000?We’re going to Disney World!! No, we’d actually do something incredibly grownup and boring and put it towards buying a house to start our family in. And THEN we’d go to Disney World.
