Connect How did your love story begin?

In college, I was in Air Force ROTC and Cody was in Army ROTC. After some convincing, he sweet talked me into switching to the Army, but I already thought he was cute so it was a no brainer for me. From baseball games to breakfast dates and eventually moving in together, our love grew fast and strong. Just 18 months later, Cody proposed, and we were married four months after that. What started with service quickly became a life full of love, laughter, and family—all because of him.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Cody and I have made countless memories together, but my favorite ones always involve overlanding in our 1982 Landcruiser. From the mountains of New Mexico to the deserts of Texas and forests of Wisconsin, that truck is where we feel most at home. Whether we’re camping under the stars, exploring new trails, or sharing quiet moments by the fire, it’s where I see Cody and my family at their happiest—and where our love story continues to grow, one adventure at a time.

What would you do with $20,000?

For the first 6 years of marriage, Cody served in the National Guard and was a stay-at-home dad to our two boys. In 2021, he chased a new dream—becoming a pilot—and graduated flight training 18 months later. His dream wasn’t cheap, but he’s truly amazing at what he does. He sacrificed so much for our family, and now we’d love to help him pay off his debt and get closer to his goal of becoming an airline pilot. He deserves to see his dream take flight.
