Through school, health problems, and personal struggles, we have continued to put each other and our marriage first.
We would like to thank you for supporting Mariah and Bridger in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Our story began on my first day of living away from home. We met at an orientation for a program we were both apart of in college. Then after I was late for the first day of class we began sitting next to each other, looking for each other on campus and trying to find every excuse to “run” into each other. After a couple months of talking and hanging out we began dating. And our first date as an official couple was to a Halloween costume party.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We’ve had so many good memories together, but one of our favorites is from our honeymoon. On a cruise to the Bahamas our first stop was to the Royal Caribbean’s private island where there’s a massive water park. The day was overcast and eventually a tropical rainstorm hit. The park closed due to lightning but we stayed nearby in hopes that the lightning would stop and it would open again. We got to be one of the few people in the park and with no lines it was as if it was only us in the world.
What would you do with $20,000?We’re a young couple with a baby trying to get through school. As such we can’t afford many fun things. But if we got 20k we’d be able to afford a nice trip. We’d be able to not worry about money or affording our rent for a couple months.
