“Our love story began in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 1991. I went on a holiday, to visit friends. I was taken out to dinner, that’s the 1st time we met. We immediately fell in love never been apart since. In 1993, we decided to leave Holland and we moved to the Rio Grande Valley, McAllen, Texas, the city where I was born. We found true love oceans of water away. He sacrificed his career, life, everything he had—just to be together with me. Amazing .. true LOVE!! #ChefMarcel #dutch4ever
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We've had so many wonderful memories. However, my favorite memory was, when our son Logan, was born. I remember my husband whispering in my ear,.. “Happy Anniversary my Love”., .. Me, not realizing, our son was born, on our “Wedding Day Anniversary”!
What would you do with $20,000?I would like to donate these monies to my nonprofit organization, Beyond the Ribbon. Beyond the Ribbon is more than just a nonprofit, it’s led by breast cancer survivors, who understand the journey firsthand. We know that a diagnosis is just the beginning. That’s why we’re committed, through strong community partnerships, we can provide direct financial assistance, to ease the burdens of treatment—because healing takes more than medicine; it takes LOVE.
