It took me (Mara) 3 weeks to ask Christian to be my boyfriend, at a Minnesota Timberwolves game. We’ve been best friends since!
We would like to thank you for supporting Mara and Christian in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
In an online world where swipes dictated our futures, we swiped right on each other. We went to an arcade bar for our first date where he let me win most games( except I actually did beat him at the basketball game!!) On the way home, he hyped me up while I sang all my favorite songs and even chimed in on an old emo banger. We bonded over our love of disappointing Minnesota sports, legos, and destroying the CPUs in Mario Party. It didn’t take either of us long to find out we were end game.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I (Mara) watch and read the news every single day. (He loves an informed gal!) And one day there was an event advertised at the MN Vikings home opener, a Buddy Games style competition where winners got suite tickets and the opportunity to meet Josh Duhamel. We ended up winning and having a once in a lifetime moment, because in this economy we are lucky to get nosebleeds at a Vikings game. It was so fun to cheer for each other and end up having a great story to share with one another.
What would you do with $20,000?Given the opportunity to have $20k would be life changing - truly. We’d be able to have a down payment on a home to spend forever in. It’s especially hard with the housing market, paying for a wedding, and saving to adopt a sweet baby. I wish we had a cooler answer to this, but stability is the dream baby.
