Connect How did your love story begin?

We originally met in 8th grade! Although we went to different high schools, we stayed in each other’s lives. While I was head over heels in love with Christian, he was not feeling the same (ultimate friend zone). We went our separate ways for a few years, and met again in college. Christian asked me out on a date, and I told my family I was going to go just to get a free dinner since he did me dirty in high school. Our dinner lasted 6 hours chatting & catching up.We have been inseparable since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is our 1st weekend get away together. We went to a mountain cabin in the NC mountains. We spent the entire weekend driving the blue ridge parkway and laying on our backs watching the stars. Driving through the blue ridge parkway, I realized that I truly was in love with Christian, and wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. It was so sentimental to me, that I took a pinecone to remember the moment. He proposed at the same spot on the parkway! I took a pinecone then too.

What would you do with $20,000?

First, we are getting married this year! We would use some of the funds for our wedding. We also are looking to become homeowners in the next few years, and this would help tremendously with our future home for our future family. Also, as animal lovers (we have rescued & adopted 4 cats), we would donate a portion to our local animal rescues! This would help us so much be able to create a perfect transition into our future life as forever partners!
