Zach and I actually met for the first time in our 9th grade government class. We were friends for a long time before we became romantically interested in each other. Come to find out Zach had a crush on me in 9th grade and was scared to turn around to talk to me in class. Zach and I grew apart after high school and reconnected at a gas station after my mom asked me to go out and grab some milk (thanks mom!). And the rest is history! We have grown to have a beautiful marriage and little family.

One of our favorite memories would have to be when we went on a hike in Shenandoah National Park where everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. We hiked up this beautiful mountain, saw some amazing views, and carved our names into a tree. On the way down we ran out of supplies and then found out that our car battery died. To make matters worse, it was getting dark and we had no reception. Sweaty, tired, and frustrated at the time... we eventually made it home and laugh about it today!

Zach and I found out we were pregnant in December 2019, right before the pandemic. I was graduating from nursing school and Zach still had a few semesters of school left. Zach took a pause on school to support our family through the pregnancy. Eventually, working as an ER nurse, I supported Zach through school. We have been focusing on bettering ourselves for our son and future for 6 years now. We would love the opportunity to use some of the money to reconnect by going on a honeymoon.
