We would like to thank you for supporting Mac n' Murph in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met at a party in Philadelphia but didn’t quite get along at first convo. Over the next couple of months, I became good friends with his roommate. I also wasn’t having success dating & had decided to give it a break for a while. The roommate/friend pushed me into a date I was sure would go poorly. We ended up clicking immediately & from the first date we didn’t end up dating anyone else, even before making things “official.”
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Hiking the mountains in Switzerland, petting cows, and listening to the sound of bells softly chiming for miles around us. It was maybe the most beautiful and serene experience of my life, and having my best friend/partner there made the experience that much more complete. I’ve been dreaming of going to Switzerland for over a decade and could never afford it, so this was a literal dream come true and I couldn’t have made it there without him.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d use the $20,000 to put down roots—a deposit on a home where we can finally settle. We sold our first home to fund my husband’s dream of starting his business while I put myself through college and law school. Now, with student loans and a tough economy, owning again feels just out of reach. This would mean stability, a space to grow our family, and a real start to the life we’ve worked so hard to build together.
