How did your love story begin?

Our love story began at work. I was in college and needed a full-time job, so I applied at a company a family member recommended. He worked for a different company in the same building. The first time we seen each other was at my job interview, he came to get copies and smiled at me. I liked him right away. Later, when we were dating, he told me that when he first saw me, he said, “I’m going to marry that girl.” And somehow, that’s exactly what happened.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories as a couple is when we found out we share the same birthday. After chatting for a while, the topic of age came up, he was three years older than me. Out of curiosity, I asked when his birthday was, and he said January 9th. I thought he was joking, maybe messing with me because he had somehow found out it was mine too. I didn’t believe him until he showed me his ID, and sure enough, it was real! We both couldn’t believe it. It was funny, sweet, and unforgettable.

What would you do with $20,000?

Having the chance to receive $20,000 would mean so much to us. It would help us finally take a big step toward putting a down payment on a home, a dream we’ve held onto through all the highs and lows. We’ve grown so much as a couple, and through it all, we’ve always stood by each other. I truly believe that no matter what life throws at you, when your heart is in the right place and you’re giving it your all, good things will always find their way. And together there’s nothing we can’t overcome.
