How did your love story begin?

We met on a short weekend vacation in California, in 1984. We knew after that first encounter, that we would get married. We had blind faith, that we were meant to be together forever. Our friends and family told us that it would never work, because we didn't know each other long enough to make a marriage decision. But they were wrong. We will love each other for ever in this life, and the next. We agree that we wouldn't want to be with anyone else.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

All of our memories are favorites, but the best memory was when we got married. Our wedding was a big party with friends and neighbors. We all had a blast, and everyone still talks about what fun they had at our wedding , and that was 40 years ago. It was a celebration of both our lives, prior to marriage, and a celebration of a new life to come. Being together is all that mattered to both of us. We are thankful to still be together, and we trust no other with our lives.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would probably fix up our house and give some to our son, Daniel. He is an only child,and just bought his first home. It is important to both of us to give back to the community, and it gives us great joy to do so. And, more than likely, we would go back up to Oak Creek Canyon, Arizona. It is like visiting heaven up there. It is a very spiritual place.
