Connect How did your love story begin?

My sister Emily played matchmaker! I kept declining events she’d invite me to so she invited Nik to her wedding-I couldn’t cancel on THAT! 😂 I was grieving the loss our dad, stressed from wedding prep, and totally unfiltered—no makeup, messy ponytail, just raw. Nik showed up, helped without hesitation, and made things easier. I wasn’t looking for love, but it found me. From that chaotic weekend on, it’s been effortless. He saw the real me—and loved me anyway.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of our favorite memories is the night of my sister Emily’s wedding-that night was magical. Nik kept gravitating toward me—we danced, tried the photo booth (closed!), so we made our own: four quick selfies in a row. Later, we sang karaoke, then ended up at my sister Lauryn’s cottage. Her husband had set it up for romance—oops! We crashed THAT! After everyone went to bed, Nik and I stayed up talking by the fireplace. When Lauryn shushed us… he kissed me.

What would you do with $20,000?

Our first priority is a much-needed vacation to recharge! We'll also use the funds to reduce debt and invest in our future. We've both been in hustle mode, building our dream lives. Nik is now pursuing his passion for woodworking after years in CNC machining—his leap is so inspiring! I'm shifting from Curve modeling to public speaking on body image, mental health, and content creation. As a body-positive advocate, I aim to empower others to feel confident in their skin.
