Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began when i lived in an attic unit and my room happened to have a window connecting to a flat rooftop area. Owen cleans roofs for a living and he was working on my roof. i wanted to be hospitable so i offered him some lemonade. it was the perfect old fashion meet cute. after that i got his number and we went on our first date that ended up being 48 hours long. it was like 6 dates in 1. the morning after our first date, the words i love you accidentally slipped out.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

we stealthy slept at a cemetery. we made quesadillas under the porch of a public restroom. we slept with the trunk door popped open b/c owen is too tall. in the morning security came so owen jump in the front seat and started to drive. i was in the back and the trunk was still open. we were laughing so hard and i was gripping the back door to keep it closed. we eventually made it to the hike which is on a ledge over looking ocean. it was simple and raw, i think of that trip fondly

What would you do with $20,000?

Practically, I would use it to pay off my student debt. Unpractically, however, I would love and prefer to use it to fund our travels. being able to “rough it” has brought about so many great experiences. i think having such an economical mindset lets us have the freedom to really experience life around us as opposed to paying for extravagance. we could stretch $20,000 really far and make a multitude of new memories
