One hot Summer day, I was only 14, my mom and I were coming home from town and noticed a truck on the side of the road. Just after passing we saw 2 guys walking, 1my future husband, mom said that’s our new neighbors and pulled over to see if they wanted a ride. I was a little shy and so was he. When we dropped them off at home I felt like I really want to get to know this Cowboy. And 53 years later I’m so happy we picked up them 2 hitchhikers!!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I would say our first date it was my 15th birthday, just a month after we 1st met. He was 18 moving to Oklahoma from Texas his senior year. His brother and his girlfriend were going to a local small town fair and Darrell had asked me to go. Scared but excited my parents said it was ok. Our first kiss was on the Ferris wheel, and the rest is history. A year and half later ate ages of 16 and 19 we got married.
What would you do with $20,000?We had a very small wedding in my parents living room. Our honeymoon was a weekend trip to Amarillo,Tx to his best friends house. I would love to give HIM a cruise to Alaska. He’s always wanted to go. He’s now 71 and I’m 67.
